It’s been a while since Mark has buzzed about with new projects and just this past Thursday we got news that he’s would be teaming up with some of his former Glee costars: Josh Sussman(Jacob Ben Israel) and Max Adler (Dave Karofsky) on the set of “Adi Shankar’s Gods and Secrets”.
Adi Shankar’s GODS AND SECRETS explores the darker ramifications of a world with super heroes, both on the people they protect, and the heroes themselves. Adi Shankar’s Gods and Secrets twist iconic superhero tropes and mythos creating a world that will shock and surprise long time comic fans, as well as those new to the genre.
It was previously announced that Jackson Rathbone (Twilight Saga, The Last Airbender), Kellan Lutz (The Legend of Hercules, Twilight Saga), Sharni Vinson (You’re Next, Step Up 3D), Andy Milonakis (The Andy Milonakis Show, Kroll Show) and Diamond Dallas Page (WWE Legend) among a few others were attached to the project. Cannot wait to see what comes up with this and excited to see something like this on the books for Mark. It’s definitely different than anything he has done to this point.
It’s hard not to love the holiday season and now we have more reason, the Camp Coyote website has gone live and with it comes many gifts. The first and probably most exciting is we have a song we can download! You can get the bands first holiday tune by submitting your email, pretty easy if I do say so myself. The next gift is the video for This Time of Year and just watch it because it makes the holiday season that much more enjoyable. Last but definitely not least is the gallery! There are pictures of the Saw and the Mill that are pretty freaking awesome, love that we’re getting more of a look at who these two are together and what we have to look forward to.
Today Mark gave us something we haven’t had in a long while an interview and a live performance! Ally Loprete is host of This Little Parent Stayed Home on iHeart Radio and she had Mark, and his Camp Coyote bandmates Mike Miller, who we know from Electric Hoverboard and they’re guitarist who Mark referred to as professor Ray, on air with her. After the basic introductions, Camp Coyote performed Presence and Power, which you longtime Mark fans should recognize. They talk about Camp Coyote and what we can expect – webisodes, music and fun. It was nice to hear Mike Miller, getting to know the other guy behind it all. For those of you who are still all about Glee, there was a little bit of talk, well mostly Puck lovin’, which I totally approve of. If someone didn’t know Mark or what he’s all about this was the perfect first interview to tune into because it gives you a little bit of everything. The interview wraps up with yet another song that should be familiar to you if you’ve followed Mark from the beginning This Time of Year, will be released as a Camp Coyote song in the near future and was performed very beautifully by the guys. You can check out the interview here, go to the 33 minute spot, press play and enjoy!
If you have a chance remember Camp Coyote will be performing at the Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles, on November 19, 2014. Tickets are still available here.
For the past few years we’ve combined the birthday celebration with the Mark Salling board over at FanForum and for the 3rd year in a row it’s been a success! Head on over to check out the thread (click the banner above) and help us spread the love for Mark on his special day. The following blurb is a part of the thread but it doesn’t hurt for you to see it twice.
It’s well known that aside from music one of Mark’s biggest passions is wildlife. The man is as I like to call him a certified bird nerd, but in all seriousness he has never shied away from the fact that he loves nature and he is more than willing to put in his time and money to help however he can. One project that he has been commited to is Wildlife Care of Socal (formerly Wildlife Care of Ventura),he’s done two PSA for them, the most recent was released in May and he’s volunteered with them as well. For the last few years fans asked Mark what they could do for him on his birthday and he tends to send them to the Wildlife Care of Socal website so we figured to add a link here as well. If you’d like to learn more about the cause that’s near and dear to Mark go to Wildlife Care of SoCal browse and if you can make a donation. You may just see a familiar face while you’re there. ;)
Happy birthday Mark, cheers to another year around the sun!
With Rocky Road premiering in just a few short weeks, UPtv is giving Mark Salling fans a chance to win some pretty cool prizes. The grand prize winner gets a guitar that was signed by Mark, 5 other lucky winners get an autographed copy of the Rocky Road script. Now like with any contest, there are some rules so here is a run down of the basics. You must be 18 years or older to win, so all you young ones out there butter up your parents, you have to be a U.S. resident in any of the 50 states, and it’s only one entry allowed her person. So click this link HERE and it’ll take you to the entry form over at UPtv. Good luck to all and can’t wait to see who the lucky winner of the guitar is. Remember you can see Mark take on the role of Harrison Burke in Rocky Road on National Ice Cream day, July 20th on UPtv Network.
Just one month until National Ice Cream Day! Okay, I only kid, well sort of. National Ice Cream Day is on July 20th, but what is more important that day is that we will finally be able to see Mark take on the role of Harrison Burke! Just about a year ago we learned about Mark signing on to film Rocky Road and hear all about him heading over to Canada to film, it’s been a steady flow of information since then. Now the wait is just about over, and in just one months time we get to see the final product. Rocky Road will be airing on UP Network so check to see if it’s a part of your cable package! You can check out the gallery for episode stills and there is a little behind the scenes video that you can catch HERE. Mark talks about why he chose to take on this role and you get a few more clips that weren’t in the trailer. Enjoy and remember July 20th is the big day!
It was all a flurry or tweets on Tuesday after, Soccer Aid announced Mark as the newest celebrity team member, one that even included a confirmation tweet from a certain publicist, THANKS JANICE! But all that aside what the heck is Soccer Aid and why is Mark involved? Well Soccer Aid is what you get when you combine celebrities and charity, namely UNICEF, it started in 2006 with UK UNICEF ambassador, Robbie Williams and it has continued with a match every two years. The teams consist of 12 celebrities and 6 legends (former professionals) and they’re split England v. Rest of the World. You can check out how the previous matches have played out on here on the UNICEF website, as well as to some of the basic rules for the games.
The 2014 match couldn’t have come at a better time, with the World Cup just around the corner you can see Mark and many other celebs take the field on June 8th, 2014 at the legendary Old Tafford Stadium in Manchester. If you’re lucky enough you can buy tickets to the game here and money raised through profits from ticket sales and donations made by viewers during the match will go to UNICEF’s invaluable work helping children around the world. The game will be available for viewing live on ITV1 and online and prior to the event Cat Deeley is set to host a preview on ITV1 at 6pm Friday, June 6. So get ready to see Mark take the field for a great cause and what hopes to be a great game!
If you’d like to see the rest of the celebrities as well as the legends slated to join Mark you can visit here and get excited.
As a girl who played soccer and loves sports in general and who has fondness for Mark this has me crazy excited, can’t wait to see how it all turns out, just two weeks to go!
