Last night was a big night for Mark and the cast of Glee, they hit the stage to honor their co-star Jane Lynch at the Trevor Live LA event. Mark along with Jenna Ushkowitz, Kevin McHale and Darren Criss sang ‘Smile’ before Jane came to the stage. Mark looked good in his Zegna suit, credit for the style id goes to Mark’s lovely publicist Janice. Mark walked the carpet and made some stops, he talked music, his upcoming movie Rocky Road and his was just his adorkable self with the jokes. Check out the gallery and hopefully as interviews and video come along I will be able to tweet links!
FOX and Glee are letting the fans choose what songs they want to see/hear in the the shows 100th episode. Now you’re a bit confused how could we possibly choose songs and who would sing them, well they’re bringing back the classics! The network has compiled a list of 30 songs for fans to choose from and the top 10 will be put in for consideration in the 100th episode. Now one thing that has me a bit iffy on the whole process is they state they’ll remix it, which is another word for change it up, I’m okay with that but if I see someone else singing Sweet Caroline come time than what’s the point of my vote? I voted for it based on the original performance and the person/people who were in it. So I know some of you may have your doubts about letting others sing the song, but isn’t it better to let them know who is loved and what you want to see, because hey you never know what will happen. So head on over and let them know about your love for Mark and the first time we truly got to hear him sing – VOTE SWEET CAROLINE, and whatever else your pretty little heart desires.
Online ticketing site Fandango is pushing the theatrical experience by creating its first-ever national TV campaign that features stars including Kevin Hart, Mark Salling (TV’s “Glee”) and Dule Hill (“The West Wing”).
The 30-second spots, which will begin airing Thanksgiving Day, depict the actors in scenes going to the movies for either girl’s-night-out, date night or family outings. They also will feature tags for exhibitors such as Regal, AMC, Carmike and Alamo Drafthouse and will be localized to play in markets where those exhibs have locations.
Love this commercial spot and as someone who already uses Fandango I approve even more so. This commercial has my love because it just feels like it’s truly Mark. Can’t wait to see it for the first time on tv or in a movie theater! Also if you say you didn’t laugh while watching this, I don’t believe you.
Tomorrow, is the season 5 premiere of Glee and though we knew many changes were coming early on in the Summer, there was one that wasn’t expected and one that is truly going to change the show. In two weeks time Glee will honor Cory Monteith and his character Finn Hudson in a tribute episode that has been described by many in the cast as beautiful. I guess one could say there is a lot of anticipation surrounding this episode, we as fans all have had time with to process what Cory’s loss has meant to us but now we are going to deal with his characters loss. We may not get all the answers and thats okay but I have faith that this will be a beautiful episode and fans will appreciate the final nod to a beloved person and character.
Today the episode synopsis was released and it seems like the episode will be not only an emotional one but a pivotal one for many characters, Puck included.
In the wake of Finn’s sudden death, former members of New Directions return to McKinley to remember their fallen friend. While a stoic Mr. Schue encourages all the gleeks to “memorialize him the way we do everything – by singing about it,” some of the kids find the exercise more cathartic than others. At the Hudson-Hummel home, Kurt, Burt and Carole sort through Finn’s belongings and what begins as a somber occasion blossoms into a poignant and much needed family moment. Meanwhile, Emma grows concerned when she believes Will is so busy taking care of others that he’s not allowing himself time to grieve; Santana struggles with using her “bitch” mask to hide her fond feelings for Finn, and has a run in with Bree, McKinley’s “New Santana”; and following a heart-to-heart with Coach Beiste, Puck honors Finn’s memory by making a life-changing decision about his future.
Now if you’re up on your spoilers you know what that life changing decision is and how it could possibly mean it’s the last time we see Puck on our screens. Mark is no longer a series regular and though there is a possibility for recurring guest star spots, I do believe that no matter what this story line could give our favorite character his proper send off. So save the date and set your DVRs for Thursday, October 10th at 9pm on FOX to see “Quarterback.” It will definitely be a hard episode to watch and possibly the last episode I ever watch of Glee but I know it will be worth it.
After a little digging, I found this gem that was posted last week during the start of filming. We get a look at Cobourg, the town where they’re filming Rocky Road (as well as another tv movie) and also get some clips of Mark filming, riding around on a bike. Some great stuff that we pick up is the movie is filming throughout the month of September and we can expect to see the movie next June on UP Network! Love it and cannot wait! Also if you didn’t catch the retweet from Cobourg News they were able to get an interview with Mark and said it will be up soon, I will definitely be on the look out for when that goes up.
We’ve had two days to soak it in and we already have already learned about more about the movie. I figured what better way than to bring it all together for you. So here you go folks everything you need to know about Rocky Road or everything we know about it to this point. (I am going to warn the synopsis we’ve been given is a bit heavy on the details so if people do not like spoilers then do not click on links I’ve provided after the cut. I tried to keep details to the minimum and must know information.) Now onto the good stuff, the movie!
Okay folks we’ve been waiting and waiting and well waiting for some news, and who knows if this is what we’ve been waiting for but either way it’s something new and it’s exciting! Mark was spotted in Toronto this past weekend and if not for TIFF than why you ask, well because he’s going to be filming there!
Rocky Road a movie for UP TV (formerly GMC TV) is set to start filming today with Mark as the protagonist. What is the movie about you ask -
Rocky Road is a story about a young hot shot Wall Streeter named Harrison (Mark Salling from Glee) who loses his job and expensive lifestyle due to a failed merger. He’s forced to move back in with his parents in the small town he’d fled, and take over his old ice cream truck route in his father’s dwindling business. Having spent a lifetime looking up to the power brokers of Wall Street and looking down on the simple ways of his small-town father, Harrison starts to appreciate his father’s values and find the faith that he lost along the way. Sometimes the best road is the Rocky Road home.
Now there isn’t much else out there when it comes to this but all we can do is wait and see. Hopefully Mark or someone from his camp will let us know more about this project, until then let’s just enjoy the news!
