Shoes, Twitter and a Little Glee – Quick Hits for This Week
The last few days we’ve been hit with quite a bit of Mark and Glee new so here are some quick hits…
- On Wednesday 02.15.2012 Mark attended the grand opening of the Flagship Converse Store in Santa Monica. There were a few other celebs on hand – Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars) and Gillian Zinser (90210) both of which took pictures with Mark upon arrival. In true fashion Mark wore his all black Chuck’s, I approve. Check out the gallery for all the pics.
- Mark also has seemed to have been bitten by the twitter bug as of late because he’s given us quite a few entertaining tweets, I love it! Read them for yourself.
- Today The Hollywood Reporter announced that there are currently no plans for a Glee Live! Tour for this summer. It will be the first summer the cast has been given off since the start of the show and I for one think they deserve it. They did mention a possible benefit show in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Bowl in October so if we get any other news I will definitely post a follow up.
- And last but not least we’ve got some very nice candids of Mark (and Cory) filming in a neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills. I kind of love them because I love any and all of Mark’s bromances but it’s funny that at first glance they look like they’re holding hands, it’s okay boys I want to hold your hands too. Thanks to the lovely Renee we have a few extra shots so check them all out in the gallery.
- An extra note for those of you who are interested this upcoming Tuesday is the winter finale of Glee, it will be going on a 7 week hiatus and return in April. Hopefully Puck says more than a line or two. Tune in at 8pm EST on FOX.
What Mark’s Been Dreaming of in the Echo Park Ornithology Club
People are finally catching on, Mark and his love for all things birds is REAL. Any fan of Mark has known that from day one that one of this mans passions is birds. If the shirts, interviews, tweets and many charities weren’t enough then I guess a song would be a good way to solidify the place these creature hold for him. Today TMZ posted a video of Mark in his pre-Glee days in which he is singing Echo Park Ornithology Club in a park in Los Angeles, now TMZ I’m a fan but this song isn’t new at least to any Mark fan who has been there from the get go, Echo Park Ornithology was actually on Mark’s first album Smoke Signals released in 2008 from his band Jericho. All in all I love hearing Mark’s voice and even though this wasn’t the first time I’ve heard about Mark’s bird chest and chicken legs, I’m glad I got to see a video of him just chilling with his guitar and singing. That being said I think it’s time we saw a bird shirt again.
Another Big Night in Hollywood
Last night the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards were held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, and just like any big night the stars in Hollywood turned out. Mark and his cast members were up for OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE BY AN ENSEMBLE IN A COMEDY SERIES, but lost out again to Modern Family. But the good news for us this year… Read more…
Rolling Around The Glee Set
Yesterday Mark and the cast of Glee were filming and in between takes Mark took a ride on his long board. Lucky for us some papz were around and we got some shots. Later on in the evening Mark joined castmate Jenna Ushkowitz and her boyfriend Vampire Diaries actor Michael Trevino to celebrate Trevino’s 27th birthday. Mark tweeted about hanging with them last night and even included a picture for us. Happy belated birthday Trevino!
Now this coming Sunday, January 29th the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards will be held. The cast of Glee is nominated for OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE BY AN ENSEMBLE IN A COMEDY SERIES. The show is set to air on both TBS and TNT stations at 8pm EST. Now last year Mark didn’t actually walk the carpet but we did get pictures, so we shall see what happens this year.
